Every rental property in New Zealand must meet the Healthy Homes Standards. For just $99 + GST, Hiko-Wai Solutions takes the guesswork out of compliance with a thorough assessment and a clear report showing exactly where your property stands and what needs to be done.

The Five Healthy Homes Standards

• Heating: We calculate the heating capacity required for your main living area and check that your current heating meets it.

• Insulation: We inspect ceiling and underfloor insulation to confirm it’s present, in good condition and meets the required level.

• Ventilation: We check that living areas, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms have the required opening windows and extractor fans.

• Moisture Ingress and Drainage: We assess guttering, downpipes, drainage and ground moisture barriers under suspended floors.

• Draught Stopping: We identify unreasonable gaps or holes in walls, ceilings, windows, floors and doors that cause draughts.
